I have the Raro US box set, and there are quite a bit of extra features on the discs, which I unfortunately haven't had time to watch yet.

Glad to know I'm not alone in being somewhat underwhelmed with this one - well, underwhelmed in comparison to what I had heard about it anyway.

The box set, aside from the Milieu trilogy, features RULER OF THE CITY. Thanks for the feedback on that one; now I won't go out of my way to see it and can use that valuable time watching another Jason Statham movie or something.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02153426751208051792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592266676978922940.post-49245583969380725452011-11-22T17:04:58.178-05:002011-11-22T17:04:58.178-05:00MILAN CALIBER 9 was shot sometime in 1971 and was ...MILAN CALIBER 9 was shot sometime in 1971 and was the first in this loose trilogy. There's a second disc in the Italian Raro set, but no English subs for it, unfortunately, which no doubt divulges a great deal of info about the films making.

I liked MANHUNT, but wasn't blown away by it. I thought it was a modest step backward from the first movie, but the next one I thought went out with a bang.

Di Leo did another "trilogy" after this which I would only recommend out of curiosity and nothing more. These were more lighthearted and predominantly bad films, imo. But to an Italian audience, they may have played differently. NICK THE STING, LOADED GUN and RULERS OF THE CITY are those three films. The latter one is generally well liked, but it bored me to tears even with Jack Palance. The middle title is a painful TRINITY style comedy crime flicker that gives a lot of opportunities for an aging Ursula Andress to take her clothes off.

There's also the controversial SHOOT FIRST, DIE LATER and BLOOD & DIAMONDS among a few others.venoms5https://www.blogger.com/profile/13655919099947763891noreply@blogger.com
