Amer is definitely one of a kind giallo-art film hybrid that, I got to say, took its time creating something special about it.Kaijinuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11481843593274086819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592266676978922940.post-76900685013208126492011-10-08T05:26:13.592-04:002011-10-08T05:26:13.592-04:00Great review Aaron, in some ways it does test your...Great review Aaron, in some ways it does test your patience but the visuals and sound design take it beyond any issues, it got my senses so heightened I could almost smell what was happening!A hero never dieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13075070081480449104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592266676978922940.post-83994614346673978692011-10-07T23:51:18.705-04:002011-10-07T23:51:18.705-04:00Yeah, I dug it and agree with your statement. I was a bit let down when I found out the music was borrowed from other films, though. I don't know what it says about my knowledge of Italian films, but I thought the music in AMER was original and was impressed with how genuine the songs sounded, only to find out that the song that sounded like Morricone was in fact Morricone.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02153426751208051792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592266676978922940.post-14719163567784181362011-10-07T22:47:52.026-04:002011-10-07T22:47:52.026-04:00Word, I'm happy to see that you enjoyed Amer, ...Word, I'm happy to see that you enjoyed Amer, Aaron. I absolutely loved it, and while I do agree that it can be a tad tedious at times, I found the filmmaking to be simply incredible.

I love when a film can use amazing visuals to tell a story without falling back on conventional narrative. Even on a visual level, the film's individual stories and the story as a whole almost seems to be difficult to grasp, yet it all somehow comes together as it moves forward.Matt-suzakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16215962688591291944noreply@blogger.com
