13 Questions: Silva & Gold

Silva & Gold is a weekly, theme-based genre movie podcast hosted by a couple of guys I've known through online circles for a couple of years, Pickleloaf and Doctor Zom. Silva & Gold basically started as a sort of spin-off show of The Gentlemen's Guide to Midnite Cinema, but they quickly developed their own loyal following thanks to their interactions with listeners, humorous antics, and knowledge of film. If this is all news to you, please get to know my buddies Alex and Jo... uh, I mean "Pickleloaf" and "Doctor Zom", and CHECK THEM OOT! at the links below.

1. Who are you and where are you from?
Loaf: I'm Alex AKA Loaf AKA Pickleloaf and I'm from the whitest suburb in NC
Zom: Doctor Zom, West Virginia

2. Where might people know you from?
Loaf: People might know me from my old dusty blog http://pickleloaf.blogspot.com/... various message boards over the years... or my current podcast Silva & Gold with the glamorous Dr. Zom

3. When it comes to what you do, who or what are your major influences?
Loaf: When it comes to what I do professionally, a desire to eat and stay dry are my major influences. When it comes to what I do creatively, I guess music and film play a large part. I'm a very visual person which is why I gravitate to film, but with music it's one of those things where just the right combination of sound has ME creating images in my head.

I honestly cannot remember the last book I finished, but I am currently reading Simon Reynolds' Rip It Up And Start Again along with The Last Outlaw - Stan 'The Lariat" Hansen's autobiography... although that one has definitely fallen to the wayside
